Behavioral Health

An Adult Inpatient Program and a Partial Hospitalization Program are available at Mercy Health Partners Behavioral Health for adults 18 and over.

The Adult Inpatient Program is designed to stabilize the crisis situation that led to need for inpatient hospitalization. The program provides for a thorough evaluation, develops a multidisciplinary treatment plan, and coordinates care in a supportive environment.

The Partial Hospitalization Program provides intensive outpatient therapy for those who are experiencing emotional and mental distress but do not require 24-hour inpatient care and who have an adequate support system outside the hospital setting.

Half of all Americans will experience a mental/emotional illness during their lifetime. Mental/emotional problems affect all aspects of our lives. Individuals may become so overwhelmed that they cannot function day-to-day. Signs and symptoms that individuals exhibit may include one or more of the following:

  • Suicidal thoughts, especially a concern if there is intent and plan to act upon those thoughts
  • Sleep or eating disturbances that do not resolve within a day or two
  • Inability to enjoy what one used to enjoy
  • A feeling that one just doesn't care anymore
  • Unwillingness to adhere to medication recommendations from one's doctor
  • Severe mood swings that may impact quality of life
  • Hearing voices or having thoughts that are not in touch with reality

Most depression and other mental/emotional illnesses are treatable, especially if dealt with early. Mercy Health Partners Behavioral Health is here to let you know that you don't have to deal with these symptoms alone.
