Living with Cancer
An informational support group for cancer patients, family members and friends. This is an opportunity to meet and talk to others who are experiencing a diagnosis of cancer.
The content of the meetings include discussions on:
- Diagnosis
- Standard and complementary treatments
- Personal and family adjustments
- Anger and depression
- Communication
- Humor and hope
Meets Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the lobby of the former Hackley Cancer Center, Hackley Campus at 1700 Clinton St. Dates and activities vary
Breast Cancer Support Group
This is an opportunity for women with breast cancer to share their experiences and to learn more about diagnosis and treatment options.
Meetings take place the first Wednesday of every month from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the conference room at the Women's Health Center at the Lakes Campus (6401 Prarie St. off Harvey Street between Sternberg and Pontaluna Roads).
Prostate Cancer
for men and their partners
This is an opportunity to share experiences and to learn about diagnosis and treatment options. Participants gain a better sense of control over the situation by meeting with others confronting the same challenges.
Meetings take place the last Wednesday of every month from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in room 394 at Mercy Health Partners' Hackley Campus
